The first thing to do is look at how you can reduce the amount of rubbish you produce. The sections of this website: At home, At the Shops, At School and Top tips all provide you with practical things you can do to reduce your rubbish and get some real benefits from doing it. There are many ways to reduce the rubbish in your bin. The best is not to produce rubbish in the first place and this site shows you how. A great way to cut down on your rubbish is to buy refills as there is less packaging. Another way is to re-use things to stop them becoming rubbish. Why not try reusing your supermarket carrier bags.
